SLA Builders Club members are constantly busy helping the school and the community. Some of our projects are:

• Relay for Life – Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  2017 will be our 12th year participating in Relay for Life. When we began in 2006, we had 14 students on our team and raised $750.  In 2016, we had 53 members on our team and raised, $18,772. 

• Mote Marine Sea Turtle Markers – From September to February, Builders Club members spend Monday afternoons painting the 8000 wooden stakes that mark sea turtle nests on the 35 miles of beaches stretching from Manasota Key to Anna Maria Island

• Assisting with Coastal Cleanup

• Sorting donations for Mothers Helping Mothers

• Bell ringing for Salvation Army

• Food Drive for All Faiths Food Bank

• Collecting Books and Pajamas for the Kiwanis Club of Venice to distribute to needy children

• Assisting Kiwanis Club of Venice with the Kiwanis Expo
