More than 5,000 students have graduated from SLA over the years, each one empowered by our core values of Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. These principles are not only woven into our academics but are lived out daily in the culture we build together. Our mission is to provide every student with a safe, community-based environment where they grow not only as learners, but as people of strong character.

At SLA, we believe that character matters. In addition to academic achievement, we focus deeply on nurturing traits like respect, kindness, empathy, self-discipline, self-accountability, and self-confidence. These qualities help our students navigate middle school with a sense of purpose and integrity, and prepare them for success far beyond our walls.

In 2011, SLA was named a “High Performing Charter School” by the Florida Department of Education, a title we’ve upheld with consistent “A” ratings ever since. This ongoing success is the result of the shared commitment of our parents, staff, students, and the broader community. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and even more excited for what lies ahead.
